Pregnant Megan McKenna stuns fans with 'massive' order in Birmingham restaurant

Megan McKenna has been spotted tucking into some tasty food in a Birmingham restaurant after recently announcing her pregnancy - and stunned fans with her huge selection of dishes. Megan, who is reportedly set to move to the Midlands after putting her three-bed Essex home up for sale, tried out the entire menu at national Vietnamese restaurant Pho in Grand Central.

The former Celebrity Big Brother and The Only Way Is Essex star, who suffers from coeliac disease, was highlighting the chain's 98% gluten-free menu for National Coeliac Awareness month. Her favourite dish was the curry noodle soup but she tried out lots of gluten-free dishes including squid and a spicy chicken curry.

Writing about her experience at the restaurant, Megan, 31, said: "Had a night off from cooking… May is National Coeliac awareness month, and I got to try @phorestaurant 98% gluten FREE menu for the very first time and it was a solid 10/10! #ad. So many options to choose from and you can find Pho’s all over the country – such a spot for the GF girlies & guys #CoeliacAwarenessMonth #GlutenFree #GFfoodie."

Fans were stunned by the amount of food Megan was seen eating in the video. One asked: "How many dishes did you actually eat?" "How in the name of God do you eat so much @meganmckenna I just love how excited you get over your food!!" another said. "I need to go for dinner with you I’m p******* myself with how much you’ve ordered," a third added with lots of laughing emojis.

The NHS says coeliac disease is a condition where your immune system attacks your own tissues when you eat gluten. This damages your gut (small intestine) so your body cannot properly take in nutrients. Coeliac disease can cause a range of symptoms, including diarrhoea, abdominal pain and bloating.

Megan has long been raising awareness around this, and was even a finalist on Celebrity Masterchef where she highlighted her gluten-free creations. She has also released her own gluten-free cookbook called Can You Make That Gluten Free? Megan bravely admitted in her book: 'The bathroom was my best friend when I was growing up. I've had my fair share of trolling, been called skeletal and anorexic. People need to lay off the weight comments and give those of us who suffer silently with digestive issues a break.'

Megan, 31, announced she was pregnant with her first child with footballer fiance Oliver Burke, 27, last month. Megan recently opened up about being rushed to hospital after her tongue was left "double the size" due to a "painful abscess". It was the second allergic reaction she had suffered in two weeks. after her belly also doubled in size.

Pho, who has over 40 sites in the UK, has been accredited by the Coeliac UK society for over nine years. Some shocking stats from a survey Pho conducted this month also recently found out:

  • Over half (55%) of Brits who believe they have a food intolerance agree that there aren’t enough accessible or varied options when it comes to eating out

  • 7 in 10 (70%) Brits aged 16-24 get food intolerance symptoms

  • On average, Brits who have been diagnosed with a food intolerance(s) said it took them 18 months to get diagnosed
