And she admitted it was tough keeping it together as she met her new cast mates.
Appearing on This Morning, she said: "I was so ill!
"I felt so sick and I was meeting all these women and I was like, 'Hi' and all I wanted to do was vomit on them."
Hamilton said she was trying to keep her pregnancy a secret but that her cast mates kept asking why she wasn't drinking.
The singer also said when she was asked to join the reality show she wondered what it would be like as she has "worked with feisty ladies before" in the band.
"I know what it can be like, it can be intense!" she added.
Hamilton confirmed her pregnancy in February, announcing on Instagram that she and her husband Charles Gay were expecting a new arrival later this year.
Sharing a scan image and a montage of clips of her and Gay, she wrote: “7 years of loving you.
“17 months of marriage.
“We finally got our little miracle.”
