‘Presumed Innocent’ Release Schedule: When Do New Episodes Air?

Shortly after his turn in Roadhouse on Prime Video, Jake Gyllenhaal returns to the small screen in the Apple TV+ series Presumed Innocent, based on the best-selling book by Scott Turow. The lawyer-novelist’s popular legal thriller novel was previously adapted into a 1990 film. The show follows the criminal case against a Chicago prosecutor charged with the murder of a colleague. The investigation also touches on the home life of the family of the accused.

The Jake-Gyllenhaal-starring show premiered June 9 at Tribeca, and it debuted on Apple TV+ June 12.

How many episodes are in Presumed Innocent?

The first season of the drama series contains eight episodes.

Are new episodes released weekly or all at once? What time are they streaming on Apple TV+?

New episodes will arrive every Wednesday night on the streamer. The first two episodes premiered June 12, and one will roll out weekly until July 24.

What is Presumed Innocent about?

Based on Turow’s 1988 book, attorney David E. Kelley reimagined the story of a Chicago lawyer (Jake Gyllenhaal) accused of murdering a colleague. The series will deal with sex, obsession, politics, power, love’s limits and more as the accused man attempts to keep his family and marriage together in light of the situation.

Who is in Presumed Innocent?

Gyllenhaal stars as chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich. He also executive produces the series. Ruth Negga, Bill Camp and Elizabeth Marvel also star. O-T Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Nana Mensah, Renate Reinsve, Peter Sarsgaard and Kingston Rumi Southwick appear as well.
