PREVIEW: Steam show returns to village for 53rd year

A steam and country fair will be returning to Bloxham next weekend for its 53rd year with activities for the whole family.

The Bloxham Steam and Country Fair will take place on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30 at Smiths' Field in Bloxham.

The main showground will be open from 10am until 5pm followed by evening entertainment from 6pm until 11pm.

Organisers have said the event is "much more than a steam rally" with plenty of activities planned for the weekend.

Activities include tank driving, archery and pigeon clay shooting.

There will also be steam engines, wildlife displays, a fairground, classic cars, an emergency service display and more for visitors to enjoy.

The sponsors for this years event are Edd Frost and Daughters, Banbury Plant and Skip Hire and Helix Autosport.

The event runs entirely off sponsors and profit from previous years, meaning the event has been able to grow year on year.
