A new dress available at Primark has sparked a debate among shoppers. As summer arrives and festival season kicks off, many are on the hunt for suitable outfits.

To inspire music fans, Primark, which has its largest store in Birmingham, posted a video of a fashion blogger trying on its new Sheer Metallic Maxi Dress. The dress, part of the latest Rita Ora collection, is priced at £22.

In the video, the fashion enthusiast, known online as Rhiwanders, pairs the dress with black cowboy boots, a brown belt, and a beige tassel bag. "Obsessed with @Rhiwanders' styling of her top picks from the Rita Ora festival collection! She's having a serious main character moment," Primark captioned the post.

The outfit attracted attention, with hundreds flocking to the comments section to share their views. It seems people either love it or hate it - much like Marmite.

In the video, Rhiwanders wears a black bralette and matching pants under the 'see-through' dress, which has been a talking point for many. Molly asked: "Why would you want everyone to see your underwear?"

Mared said: "Good to put over your bikini when you're on the beach. But like this? No." Cheva added: "Sorry but no. Beach wear and boots???? Why?" Kate wrote: "You telling me that's dressed?"

Despite the varied reactions, Rhiwanders certainly looked gorgeous regardless. The dress received its fair share of admirers, with Wiktoria commenting: "Such a great festival outfit!"

Lily concurred: "Absolute slay outfit for a festival." Nathan chimed in: "Absolutely stunning! " while Niall enthused: "Omg! Best outfit I've seen! Keep smashing it."

Rita Ora is featured on Primark's website modelling the same dress, complete with the brown belt, black undergarments, and a matching brown bag. Available sizes for the dress range from XS to XL.

Primark, describes the dress as "this season’s showstopper." It adds: "In a gold-tone metallic hue, you’ll shine bright at music festivals or summer events. Featuring a round neck, gorgeous scoop back and long floaty sleeves, this maxi dress is the perfect base to accessorise to the max. Think stacked bangles, studded belts and beaded necklaces to complete a modern boho aesthetic."
