Prince GeorgePrincess Charlotte and Prince Louis are currently on a school break — and likely prepping for some Halloween fun!

Kate Middleton and Prince William's three children began their half-term break after classes at Lambrook School wrapped on Friday, and they'll return to the classroom on Oct. 30, just in time for the spooky holiday. It's likely that George, 10, Charlotte, 8, and Louis, 5, are doing some fall and Halloween-related activities during their time off, as they have in years past.

Princess Kate's mom, Carole Middleton, spoke about her favorite part of the season in an Instagram post last year.

"Halloween is an Autumn highlight for me," Carole said. "I can still remember the fun and frights from my own childhood; the chance to dress up, decorate pumpkins and go trick-or-treating!"

Carole shared one way she plans to celebrate the holiday, which may include some help from her grandchildren: "I've even grown my own pumpkins this year, so I'm looking forward to decorating those with my loved ones."

In 2019, Kate was spotted in a local supermarket in Norfolk with Prince George and Princess Charlotte picking out Halloween costumes. Local Kathy Whittaker spotted the royal mom browsing the holiday section.

"I didn't see what she actually bought. The lady that told me she was there had children with her, and she said Kate was asking her children what they were going to be for Halloween," Whittaker reportedly said. "I think she bought some Halloween bits for her kids, but I don't know what."

Come Halloween day, Princess Kate and Prince William's three children will likely take part in trick-or-treating. In January, London resident Jay Rutland shared a photo of Kate taking George, Charlotte and Louis around to collect candy, according to Hello! magazine.

"For anyone doubting how down to earth William and Kate are… This is Kate with their kids knocking on our door in London trick-or-treating at Halloween," Rutland captioned the snap, according to the outlet.

Princess Kate even has a few costumes in her royal closet. Before she married Prince William, Kate celebrated the festive holiday in 2007 by attending a party with her younger sister, Pippa Middleton. The future queen consort wore a dress paired with a black cape, fishnet stockings and boots, making her a spooky character (perhaps an understated witch or glam vampire?) for the night out.

Nowadays, Kate and Pippa (who is also a mom of three!) may keep their Halloween celebrations more low-key.

Pippa wrote in her 2012 book, Celebrate, that she “frequently celebrates Halloween over a supper with friends,” adding that the holiday is a “wonderful excuse to let your imagination run riot with gory-looking food and special effects.”

While there's Halloween fun around the corner, there's also something scarier in store for Prince George: school exams. Although Prince William will travel to Singapore in early November for the third awards ceremony for his Earthshot Prize, the palace announced that Princess Kate will stay in the U.K. to help their eldest son during a busy time. PEOPLE understands that Prince George has school exams that week, and his mother will be at home in Windsor to support him.
