Prince Harry bids 'final goodbye' to UK after 'last straw' with Royal family
Prince Harry has reportedly said his 'final goodbye' to the UK and Royal life after a 'last straw' incident, according to a Royal expert.
The Duke of Sussex recently changed his primary residence from the UK to the US. This move was made in June 2023, coinciding with Buckingham Palace's confirmation that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle had vacated their English home, Frogmore Cottage, at the king's request.
The decision followed the publication of Harry's tell-all autobiography, Spare, where he revealed that King Charles' request for him and Meghan to leave Frogmore Cottage left him "furious." Now residing in America with Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, Harry is due to return to the UK next month for an event that will mark his 'final goodbye' to Royal life in Britain.

Royal expert and author, Tom Quinn, told The Mirror: "Harry is scheduled to speak at St Paul's Cathedral in London on May 8 to mark the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games. The Games were founded by Harry when he was still a working royal so pressure isn't being brought to bear to make him give it up now.
"But even if Harry begged to be allowed back to help out - even if his father King Charles became so ill he was unable to carry out his duties - whatever happens, the call to help will never go out to Montecito. Making the US his primary residence is Harry's final goodbye."
Harry had endured the "last straw" when he and Meghan were evicted from Frogmore Cottage, Mr Quinn added. He said: "At the time, few people realised what a slap in the face the eviction from Frogmore felt like for Harry – it was the last straw."
The Mirror contacted Prince Harry's representatives and Buckingham Palace for comment.
