Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'may spring surprise' on Kate and William, an expert has claimed. Since the Princess of Wales bravely shared her cancer diagnosis, there's been widespread speculation about whether this difficult period could pave the way for a thaw in the frosty relations between Prince Harry and Prince William.

With King Charles also battling cancer and stepping back from his Royal duties for now, some Royal insiders have suggested that Harry might step in to assist with the monarchy's commitments during this challenging time.

It has emerged that Harry and Meghan, who reportedly found out about Kate's health issues shortly before her public announcement, "reached out" to William and Kate in private following the news.

An expert has now suggested that the Sussexes could potentially "spring surprises" on the Waleses as they seek to mend fences.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun that he believes the most effective way for the family to overcome their longstanding issues would be away from the public eye, reports the Mirror.

"The best way of resolving the rift, if it is to be resolved, is to do it privately," he commented. "With Catherine and the King's illness - that is an enormous game changer even when there are deep family rifts."

"The two very senior members of the Royal Family, are very, are seriously ill, and you can't really predict what's going to happen. So, as I say, the Sussexes do spring surprises. This has happened before, and you never know what might happen in the coming weeks or months."

When discussing his memoir 'Spare', Prince Harry expressed a desire to reconcile with his brother Prince William, stating that he wanted to get his "brother back" and that the ball "was in their court". However, the current health concerns within the Royal Family could impact this sentiment, especially as Harry is expected to return to the UK for the Invictus Games' ten-year anniversary in May.

Commentator Richard Fitzwilliams remarked: "We don't know but things can happen that you don't expect? And you look at the time scale between now and the Invictus games - It's still quite the time."

Royal commentator Tom Quinn suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge extended an "olive branch" to Harry and Meghan, inviting them to bring their children Archie and Lilibet for the upcoming visit.

The departure of Meghan and Harry from the UK in 2020 marked a significant shift as they sought financial independence in North America. Initially, they had hoped to continue representing the monarchy in a limited role, but this proposal was deemed unsuitable, leading to a complete severance from Royal duties.

Since then, they have unveiled a record-shattering six-part documentary series for Netflix, delving into their love story and the reasons behind their Royal departure. Harry also laid bare the deterioration of his relationship with his family in his top-selling memoir, Spare.
