Prince Harry is reportedly feeling the nerves as he prepares to return to the UK for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, with his visit just around the corner. The spotlight has been on the Prince's anticipated homecoming, and there's speculation about potential family reunions given the strained ties after his outspoken critiques.

Some have hinted at the chance for Harry to mend fences with the Royal family during his trip, but given the frosty relations, particularly with his brother William, many commentators are sceptical about a warm reconciliation.

Since stepping back from Royal duties, Harry's standing with the British public has taken a hit, possibly adding to his anxiety about the upcoming visit. This mirrors his concerns before attending King Charles' Coronation in May 2023, which he did without Meghan by his side.

Russell Myers, the Royal editor for The Mirror, disclosed that Prince Harry had been reaching out to King Charles with "homesick" calls, seeking "reassurances" before the Coronation event. Concerns over security and his position in the seating arrangement were on Harry's mind, as he expressed a longing for home and family in conversations reported by Myers on Sky News Australia.

"He's homesick, he does miss his family," Myers shared with viewers, reports the Mirror.

Prince Harry appears to have made a firm decision about his future, with recent revelations indicating that he has altered his residential status from the UK to the US. This change was retroactively applied to June 29, 2023, aligning with the date when Harry and Meghan were asked to leave Frogmore Cottage.

Sean O'Grady, a commentator, has suggested that this latest move by Harry is a "further sign that he's gone to California for good". He also proposed that it signifies the beginning of a new phase for the Sussexes as they delve deeper into the Hollywood scene.

In an article for The Independent, O'Grady wrote: "It is a bit painful to reflect on all the goodwill for the future heaped on Harry and Meghan when they got married, only six years ago next month. Whoever is to blame for the collapse in their relationship with Britain since, the country lost something quite special when the Sussexes decamped to North America."

The Royal expert speculated that Harry might eventually apply for US citizenship, stating: "The next logical step for the couple is to become Mr and Mrs Sussex. Then it will be how long before the Duke of Sussex seeks US citizenship, complete with passport? ".

Previously, during an interview with Good Morning America, Harry was questioned about whether he would consider applying for American citizenship. When host Will Reeve asked, "Do you feel American? " Harry replied, "Do I feel American? No... I don't know how I feel."

The conversation then turned to what might prevent Harry from seeking American citizenship.

His response was: "I have no idea. I'm here standing next to these guys. The American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind, but certainly not something that is a priority for me right now."
