Prince William celebrates 42nd birthday with his kids at Taylor Swift’s London concert

Prince William reportedly chose to celebrate his birthday on Friday by taking his three kids to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in London.

The Prince of Wales, who turned 42, was said to be in attendance at Wembley Stadium, along with Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, according to royal reporter Roya Nikkhah.

Kate Middleton did not venture out to the event with her husband and kids, as she continues undergoing cancer treatment.

While there have been no official images of the family attending the concert, grainy photos of the prince were shared on social media by a user claiming to have seen him in the audience. She later followed up the post by saying Swift wished William a happy birthday and “met him and his kids backstage.”

Prince William has previously supported the “Karma” singer in person and even joined her onstage during one concert in 2013, for a charity event at Kensington Palace.

“To this day, I still do not know what came over me,” William said on a 2021 podcast. “Honestly, even now, I’m cringing at what happened next, and I don’t understand why I gave in. But, frankly, if Taylor Swift looks you in the eye, touches your arm, and says, ‘Come with me…’ I got up like a puppy and went, ‘Yeah, OK, that seems like a great idea. I’ll follow you.'”

Swift arrived in London this week for three performances as she continues the European leg of her worldwide tour.

Earlier on Friday, the Royal Guard played an instrumental rendition of Swift’s “Shake It Off” outside Buckingham Palace, just hours before the 34-year-old pop star was set to take the stage.
