Yahoo News Prince William Gushes About Kate Middleton Ahead Of Valentine’s Day
Prince William is melting our hearts this week, after gushing about his wife Kate Middleton and daughter Princess Charlotte during a recent royal outing.
On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited south Wales and met with royal fans who lined the pier of Mumbles.
During one encounter, a woman called out to the Duke to say that his four-year-old daughter was her favourite royal.
‘Yes, she is lovely — just like my wife,’ the father-of-three responded.
During their visit – for which the Duchess wore a red Zara dress accessorised with a red and ecru heart-print scarf by Shibani – the couple were seen visiting a local ice cream shop, which prompted William to describe himself as a ‘chocolate man’.
When quizzed as to whether his children – Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1 – love ice cream, the proud dad replied: ‘They do, some more than others!’
Ice cream isn’t the only food that the royal children enjoy back home at Kensington Palace.
Last year, Kate revealed during a visit to St Luke's Community Centre in London that her eldest children ‘love’ making pizza dough ‘because they can get their hands messy’.
During the royal couple’s recent TV appearance with former Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry on the festive cooking show A Berry Royal Christmas special, Kate also said that William is ‘very good a breakfast’.
‘University days, he used to cook all sorts of meals,’ she continued. ‘I think that was when he was trying to impress me, Mary! Things like Bolognese sauce and things like that.'
The 38-year-old continued, explaining that she has made a tradition in her house to make sure that each of her children get a homemade birthday cake for their big day.
‘I love making the cake,' she shared.
'It's become a bit of a tradition that I stay up 'til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing and I make far too much. But I love it.'
The Duchess added that Louis also inspired a recipe for beetroot and chocolate cake, which was shown in the programme.
'We grow our own vegetables,' she told Berry. 'We've got carrots, beans, beetroot - a massive favourite - Louis absolutely loves beetroot. Charlotte obviously likes her Charlotte potatoes.'
Right that’s it – we’re going to the Cambridges’ for dinner tonight. We’ll bring the pud.
