Prince William has paid tribute to his Royal Father King Charles III, in the form of a nostalgic father-son photo.

Taking to social media on Sunday, The Prince of Wales simply wrote "Happy Father's Day Pa. W", alongside a snap of William as a toddler having a kick-about with his suited father. It comes as William, Kate and their three children gathered with other royals and public revellers at Trooping the Colour over the weekend.

Despite being published on the official Prince and Princess of Wales Twitter account just this morning, comments have already flooded in from royal fans. Many have expressed their delight at the tribute, as well as sharing well-wishes for King Charles and Princess Kate, who are both undergoing treatment for cancer.

One comment read: "A lovely picture of Prince William with his father King Charles." Sharing a picture of the full Royal Family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, another said: "Great to see you back. The country has missed you."

"Happy Father's Day to the royal Pa! Here's to all the wonderful #RoyalDad moments and memories," penned a third.

A separate commenter wrote alongside a picture of just William, Kate and their three children: "Great to see you back together after six months."

A fifth wished a happy holiday to both William and Charles. "Aw such a lovely picture, happy Father's Day to His Majesty and to you too, Your Royal Highness! You are such a wonderful, loving dad and it's always beautiful to see you with your kids! You were born for this role too and I hope you will have the most special day."

On Saturday, June 15, members of the Royal Family gathered at Westminster to celebrate King Charles III formal birthday celebrations at Trooping the Colour. Kate Middleton made her first public appearance of 2024 and since her diagnosis.

The Princess of Wales was all smiles as she joined children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in a carriage procession, followed by a gathering on Buckingham Palace balcony for the RAF Flypast.

It comes after Kate made an emotional statement saying that her "exhausting" treatment is still-ongoing, but that she was looking forward to joining her family over the weekend.
