A photograph shared by Prince William's trio of children - Princes George and Louis, and Princess Charlotte - on Father's Day gave an intimate look at the family, according to a body language expert. The image, showing the siblings with their father, was taken by Kate in Norfolk last month.

Social media users raced to praise the "touching" family photo, shared at a hard time for the family. Body language specialist Judi James revealed its probable hidden meaning to the Mirror: "Photographed from the back view, they avoid actually communicating with the camera. It suggests this is an intimate and loving moment caught rather than a 'show pony' one posed to please the viewer."

The touching note attached on the official family social media account marked the first time a post was penned directly by the Royal tots. The Father's Day message read: "We love you, Papa. Happy Father's Day." The children signed off as "G, C and L."

The heartfelt wishes follow a moving tribute made by Prince William to his own father. He celebrated the Duke of Cornwall by posting a nostalgic picture of himself as a child alongside his father, playfully spotted with a mini football. His affectionate message echoed: "Happy Father's Day, Pa. W".

The photograph, captured on June 12, 1984, in the serene gardens of Kensington Palace, depicts a young Prince William shortly before his second birthday. Later that year, the family would welcome the arrival of Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, born in September.

The Royal Family's X account also took to sharing nostalgic footage featuring Charles and his late father, Prince Philip, from the BFI archives.

"Wishing all Dads, and those who may be missing their parents today, a relaxing Father's Day," was the heartfelt message from the Royal family's official account. Accompanied by the gentle sounds of piano music, the video offered glimpses into the tender moments between Philip and Charles.

One touching scene shows Philip lifting a baby Charles from his pram, while another captures them enjoying time together sailing.

Reflecting on last year's Father's Day, the Royal family had posted an endearing photo of a youthful Prince Harry and William with their father. The Twitter post featured three images and was captioned: "To Dads everywhere, we wish you a very special Father's Day today."

One of the images presented Prince Philip alongside his son Charles, another depicted Queen Camilla with her father Major Bruce Shand, and the third showcased Charles with his sons William and Harry. This charming photograph from 1997 shows the trio at the Falls of Muick on the Balmoral estate in Scotland.
