Princess Andre's modelling career and what Katie Price and Peter think of it
The 16-year-old has shared snaps from her shoot with fashion brand PrettyLittleThing
Princess Andre is following in her famous mum Katie Price’s footsteps by launching a modelling career, sharing the results of her first big shoot on Instagram.
The 16-year-old – who is the daughter of Price and her former husband Peter Andre - has signed a deal with the brand PrettyLittleThing and she has now showcased the results. Teasing that she had “tried something new”, the star unveiled a string of pictures from her debut shoot with the brand.
The images show Princess in jeans and cropped tops, wearing sunglasses and with her long curls straightened for the shoot. Her 18-year-old brother Junior was among the first to congratulate her, posting in the comments section: “Stunning sis.”
Her dad Peter was also full of pride after seeing the images. “So proud of you Bist,” he wrote, using a short version of her nickname, Bista.
We have a look at how Princess got started in modelling – and what her parents think.
PrettyLittleThing deal
Princess had long been thought to have been eyeing a career in the world of showbiz, and although there were mutterings about her being into music, fashion later emerged as a strong contender. As she got older she started building her brand with Instagram uploads, and then in March last year it was reported that she had signed a deal with PrettyLittleThing.
Although nothing was confirmed, there were rumours at the time that the teenager had inked a four-figure deal.
What has Katie Price said?
Katie found fame as a model herself, although she was best known for glamour modelling under the pseudonym Jordan. She has previously made it clear that she backs Princess and has said that, given her own history, she is well placed to keep an eye on her career.
Speaking to OK! magazine last year, she said: “I can absolutely see Princess being a successful model – she’s stunning. And I will always be there to support and guide her.
“I know when agents are taking advantage, so I would always step in if I felt something wasn’t right for her. I’m a protective mother and I make sure my cubs are looked after.”
Peter Andre’s concerns
Dad Peter has previously suggested that he had some “concerns” and when Princess was younger the singer and TV star insisted that her school work came first.
“I’ll always have concerns because I've seen the good and the bad, but I think as long as you've been brought up [well] – hopefully you will take from that,” he has been quoted as telling Closer magazine.
The Mysterious Girl singer recently told the Evening Standard that his daughter was “smashing it”. "She has just done a big shoot and I couldn't be prouder of her,” he said.
