Princess Anne has been hospitalised after suffering a concussion, according to Buckingham Palace. The Princess Royal sustained the injury at her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire on Sunday evening and is currently under observation at a Bristol hospital.

Buckingham Palace released a statement saying: "The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening. Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery.

"The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to the princess for a speedy recovery." The Palace did not disclose further details of Sunday night's incident.

No further details about the incident have been disclosed by the Palace. At 73 years old, Princess Anne is known as one of the hardest working members of the Royal Family due to the number of engagements she undertakes.
