Princess Beatrice was surrounded by special people on Christmas.

Princess Beatrice, 35, attended church on Christmas Day with the royals accompanied by her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, as they made their way to St. Mary Magdalene Church in Norfolk near the royal residence of Sandringham House.

Edo made his Christmas debut with the royals in 2019 after the couple announced their engagement. Although the pair were set to marry in May 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to cancel their original plans. Instead, they exchanged vows in a very small ceremony in July 2020, which was attended by Princess Beatrice's grandparents Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Unlike last year, Beatrice was not joined by her 7-year-old stepson, Christopher Woolf. Wolfie, as Princess Beatrice's stepson is affectionately known, made his Christmas debut with the royal family in 2022, and he has also attended other events like Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee Pageant in June 2022. Earlier this month, Wolfie attended Kate Middleton's third annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey with Princess Beatrice and Edo.

Edo shares Wolfie with his ex-girlfriend Dara Huang, an American architect and designer. When Princess Beatrice and Edo announced the name of their daughter Sienna Elizabeth a few weeks after she was born in September 2021, they added that "Wolfie is the best big brother to Sienna."

In honor of World Book Day in 2021, Princess Beatrice spoke to the Evening Standard about how reading has been a big part of her life during lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic and something she shared with Wolfie.

"This year, I had the great honor to become a stepmother and have had the most remarkable time going back over some of my most favorite stories at bedtime," she wrote. "Together, we had such a special time reading through all the entries for Oscars Book Prize 2020."

Although Wolfie didn't join the royal festivities this year, there was a different special guest. For the first time since the early 1990s, both of Princess Beatrice's parents were there.

Prince Andrew has continued to join the royals at family events despite stepping back from his royal role in 2019 and being stripped of his military titles and patronages by his mother in 2022 due to his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. But his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, also joined the church outing this year. The pair separated in 1992 and divorced in 1996, so Fergie (as the Duchess of York is known) hasn't joined the royal family for the Christmas outing in many years. However, Prince Andrew and Fergie have remained very friendly and dedicated co-parents to their two daughters, even continuing to live together at Royal Lodge in Windsor.

Princess Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, have been making the Christmas walk to church since they were young girls — when they memorably would sport matching or coordinating ensembles! In 1997, the sisters — wearing matching hats and green skirts — smiled ear-to-ear as they tried to carry small presents given to them by members of the public.
