Princess Kate has bravely returned to the public eye during the traditional Trooping the Colour ceremony at Buckingham Palace after undergoing cancer treatment. In a heartfelt rendezvous with Royal duties, she was seen alongside King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla, offering Royal watchers a precious few moments with the future queen since her chemotherapy announcement.

Yesterday's poignant revelation that her treatment will extend for additional months didn't dampen the spirit of the Princess of Wales; she was observed engaging warmly with her family under the dreary skies. The Mirror's expert lip reader, Nicola Hickling, spent time piecing together the chatter amongst the royals, revealing insights into their conversations captured during this significant event.

Our report covers everything from King Charles' profound expression of emotion to Kate's motherly instincts and even Prince Louis' cheeky comment directed at Princess Charlotte. These are the moments you likely overlooked on your telly.

Charles' emotional admission

King Charles, amid his cancer battle, chose to participate in the Trooping the Colour from the comfort of the Ascot Landau carriage alongside Queen Camilla, heeding medical counsel over repeating last year's equestrian appearance.

During the splendid procession, King Charles shared a tender moment with Camilla, expressing his vulnerability within the gleeful atmosphere. Lip-reading expertise provided by Nicola suggests that the monarch confided in the Queen Consort: "Oh dear, I don't know why I'm feeling rather tearful.", reports the Mirror.

Kate's regal instruction

The Princess of Wales, Kate, has been seen giving her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louisa a distinctly Royal directive during their attendance at a military event. The 42 year old Royal was observed instructing her young ones to remain in place as they arrived at Horse Guards to view the parade.

The family was spotted observing the event from a window above the parade ground. At one point, Kate seemed to issue a command to her children, with lip reader Nicola interpreting her words as: "You stay there, OK? " She then appeared to focus on Charlotte, telling her: "Keep smiling and stay here for one moment."

Louis' cheeky retort.

During the Trooping the Colour ceremony, six year old Prince Louis had a cheeky response to his elder sister Charlotte, who is nine, when she attempted to manage his behaviour. While the band played and Louis enjoyed the music, moving to the rhythm, Kate was seen whispering to Charlotte, which only seemed to encourage Louis' playful antics.

However, Charlotte's attempt to calm her brother was met with resistance, according to lip reader Nicola. As Louis continued to dance, Charlotte was seen saying, "You have to stop doing that. Watch the parade" to which Louis responded, "I won't".

When Charlotte pressed him with "Do as you're told", Louis cheekily countered with "Nope."

Mischievous Louis

At another juncture of the Trooping the Colour, young Prince Louis was caught engaging in some playful mischief. He began playing with the cords of a window blind while watching the event alongside his mother, Kate.

The beaded cord seemed to capture his attention, adding a light-hearted moment to the day's formalities.

According to Nicola, he asked his mum: "Can I play with these beads? " But it seems Kate's response was: "No. I need you concentrate on the parade."

Louis' excitement

Following the military parade, the Royal family returned to Buckingham Palace for the balcony appearance during the RAF flypast. When the aircraft thundered above, Kate is believed to have questioned Louis: "Did you like that? " to which he enthusiastically responded: "That was so much fun."

Guessing games

While gathered on the balcony, the royals appeared to engage in a bit of guessing game about the types of aircraft flying past.

Nicola observed Charles in conversation with Camilla, pondering if it was a Hawk or a Typhoon in the sky, while William, George, and Louis were overheard discussing their favourite planes, with George mentioning that Louis favoured "the black one over there". Additionally, Charles seemed taken aback by the turnout, reportedly remarking: "It's amazing the amount of people who made it."
