Pro Green's Working Class documentary moves viewers
Professor Green's eye-opening Channel 4 documentary Working Class White Men aired its second and final episode on Tuesday night (January 16).
Last week, part one saw Green – real-name Stephen Manderson – take on poverty, anxiety and the far-right as he met young working class white men who felt "demonised, forgotten and angry", although some viewers were frustrated that it focused on race rather than the working class as a whole.
This week, the focus switched to fatherhood and how the men's issues impacted their families – and it was a truly moving episode.
Green met Gav, a 29-year-old from Leeds who was just released from prison after serving a 16-month sentence for growing cannabis. We saw Gav battle to rebuild his relationship with his 11-year-old son Jake.
As Jake admitted he wanted his dad to "love me better", Green fought back tears and couldn't help but think of his relationship with his own absent father.
"I just want him to love me better."

Professor Green hit the nail on the head - it's all about stability (or lack of it) provided by parent(s) #WorkingClassWhiteMen
