Pro-Palestine student protesters took over a stage at the University of Michigan’s SpringFest on Sunday, April 14, calling for a campus strike the following day.

- As you can hear, there's a protest going on right now. Tomorrow we are shutting down this university with an all-campus strike. The national strike was called by the Strike for Gaza Coalition, 23-plus Palestinian and Muslim-led organizations in support of Palestinian liberation. The date aligns with Tax Day to call out the use of--

- Defund the genocide in Palestine!

[CHEERING]

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

- [INAUDIBLE] allies for freedom and equality and the career coalition--

- Get off the stage!

- A coalition of over 90 student organizations are organizing this campus strike.

[CHEERING]

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

- [INAUDIBLE] it's over $6 billion from the genocide in Gaza.

[CHEERING]

[INAUDIBLE] a rank and file [INAUDIBLE] instructors, staff, GSIs, students are all participating in this strike. And we want you-- every one of you-- don't go to class.

- --and join us on the picket lines tomorrow.

And to all those who say this is anti-Semitic, I and many other Jewish students are calling for this as well, and will be participating. I expect to see all of you striking tomorrow.
