Protesters Chant 'Raise Your Hand If You're a Zionist' on Manhattan Subway

Pro-Palestinian protesters in New York were heard chanting “raise your hand if you’re a Zionist” while riding the subway on Monday, June 10, as they demonstrated around the city as part of a “day of rage for Gaza.”

This footage, livestreamed by StatusCoup, shows a 5 train packed with protesters. In the footage, a person wearing sunglasses is heard asking people on board to “raise your hand if you’re a Zionist,” followed by “this is your chance to get out.”

The person then says, “Okay, no Zionists, we’re good.”

The Pro-Palestinian group Within Our Lifetime gave five locations for protesters to take “autonomous action" on Monday, including the American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum, MoMa, the Whitney Museum, and the Brooklyn Museum. Credit: StatusCoup via Storyful
