Protesters in Jakarta Smash Window at Ride-Hail App's Office

A protest led by motorcycle taxi drivers turned violent outside the offices of ride-hailing app Grab in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Monday, October 29.

This video shows a window being smashed as riot police clashed with protesters at the Singapore-based company’s corporate office in south Jakarta.

Police used tear gas to disperse the crowd, according to local news site Kompas.com.

The drivers were protesting over allegations that Grab exploits its employees and holds a monopoly on the online transportation business in the country, the site reported. Credit: Abi Nubli via Storyful
