Pub gets 'unbelievable feedback' as it launches street food menu

A west Norfolk pub has received "unbelievable feedback" for its new street food menu.

Couple Mike and Lisa Daisley opened The Nelson in Clenchwarton, near King's Lynn, in May 2023 and it was previously called The Partridge.

Mr Daisley's brother and sister-in-law Mark and Gwyneth Daisley are also partners in the pub, with the building owned by Wisbech-based Elgood's Brewery.

They have recently overhauled the menu in collaboration with a "secret" local chef who has worked in street food kitchens across the country.

Available from Phat Pat's at The Nelson to eat in or takeaway are burgers, bento boxes, 'filthy' fries, nachos, bao buns and much more.

This Friday, July 5 they are also launching the outdoor Phat Pat's Sugar Shack, serving waffles, crêpes and other sweet treats.

Mike Daisley said: "Times are hard for the hospitality industry at the moment and we wanted to be more than a place people come once a month for a nice meal.

"Phat Pat's is more accessible for the whole family and it has had unbelievable feedback so far."

Food is served Tuesday to Thursday from 4pm to 9pm, Fridays and Saturdays 12noon to 9pm and Sundays 12noon to 7pm.

For a limited time, with every main meal purchased your child can eat for £1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
