Really, there’s very little we know for certain about the Queen’s personal taste; it’s not like the 91-year-old does Radio Times interviews discussing her Sunday night TV schedule.

However, BBC DJ Chris Evans claims one of the Queen’s close friends witnessed the elusive figure dancing to her favourite song.

As picked up by NME, Evans said the friend was attending a posh dinner where a DJ was asked to play “proper disco music”.

After some while, the iconic jam “Dancing Queen” by ABBA came on, a smile reportedly spreading across The Queen’s face as the track blasted out.

Fittingly, Queenie turned to an accomplice, saying: “I always try to dance when this song comes on, because I am the Queen, and I like to dance”

Another guest took a step back, saying of the stunning sight: “My goodness me, there is the Dancing Queen.”

Of course, it wouldn’t be surprising if the ‘friend’ was Chris Evans himself, seeing as the Breakfast DJ could likely afford to buy entry into any party the Queen hosts. Evans is, as you may know, the BBC’s highest paid ‘talent’, earning between £2.20 million and £2.25 million in 2016/17.
