Queen Camilla was spotted on camera giving Princess Charlotte a telling-off and delivering a sharp two-word instruction to Kate Middleton during a moment of tension, as interpreted by a lip-reading expert.

The Royal Family came together to say their goodbyes to the late Queen Elizabeth II at her state funeral and committal service on 19 September 2022.

During the sombre event, the young royals, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, were observed in line behind King Charles III and other high-ranking family members.

Lip-reading specialist Jeremy Freeman reportedly witnessed an incident where Prince George appeared to attempt to pinch his sister, causing Princess Charlotte to cry out in pain and spin around to face him, allegedly shouting, "ow!".

Meghan Markle, who was close by, seemed to lean in with a sympathetic smile towards Charlotte, the Express reports.

This act caught the attention of their grandmother, Queen Camilla, who looked unimpressed, signalled to Charlotte, and then quietly said to her mother Catherine, the Princess of Wales: "Take her."

According to The Sun, other lip-readers have pointed out that throughout the day, Charlotte appeared to be directing her brother, as keen royal watchers have noted.

At one point, Charlotte is thought to have reminded George, with lip-readers deducing her silent command as: "You need to bow".

Prince George, dressed in a smart suit and tie, appeared to heed his sister's reminder about royal decorum.

The live TV moment where Prince George and Princess Charlotte seemed to have a "disagreement" didn't slip past viewers, with one tweeting: "Looks like Prince George and Princess Charlotte have a small disagreement. Look at The Queen Consort, Camilla."

Another viewer questioned: "What did Charlotte say when she turned back around? Was it wow? Ow? Cow? ".

In a contrasting display of royal grace, Queen Camilla was seen comforting Princess Charlotte after the young Royal stumbled during a curtsy to King Charles last May.

The Wales family were seen greeting the King and Queen with the traditional bows and curtsies at the Coronation concert.

However, Charlotte, slightly lost her balance after curtseying to her grandfather, King Charles and was seen looking to her father and brother as she steadied herself.

Despite missing out on a curtsy from Princess Charlotte, Queen Camilla caught the young royal's slip up and discreetly comforted her step-granddaughter with a gentle pat on the shoulder as she walked past.
