Royal fans can't get enough of a throwback video of the late Queen Elizabeth II scolding a young Prince William.

Since the clip resurfaced, Brits couldn't help but notice similarities between the future king and his youngest son, Prince Louis. The compilation was shared on TikTok with the caption: "Every time the Queen told off Prince William on the balcony."

The footage shows the Queen reprimanding a much younger William on several occasions. In a hilarious clip from his wedding day to Kate Middleton, she instructs the heir to the throne to stand up and he promptly obeys.

The Royal family is known for adhering to a set of rules while 'on duty', which could explain the Queen's keenness to keep William in line. It was even suggested she might have viewed his behaviour as potentially disrespectful at the time.

Fans were quick to spot the striking similarities between William and six-year-old Louis. One TikTok user commented: "William and Louis are very similar."

Others found humour in the situation as one said: "Typical grandma, love it". Another remarked: "William still behaving like a petulant child all these years later", while a third commented: "You better listen to the Queen, Prince."

Little Louis has previously been the centre of attention on Buckingham Palace's famous balcony as he excitedly banged his fists in anticipation of an RAF fly-by.
