Rangers stadium shambles gives Philippe Clement excuse for failure and could cost club £60m - Saturday Jury

Scotland are still in there fighting for a Euro knockout slot ahead of Sunday’s all-important Hungary clash - so what are you, a Negative Norman or Positive Paul?

KEITH JACKSON: I’m taking the Ps with this one. Steve Clarke and his players have been building towards this moment for five years. It’s time to reach and grab it.

SCOTT McDERMOTT: I’m definitely positive after Wednesday night. It was a much improved performance that will have given the whole squad a lift going to Stuttgart. If we can score first against Hungary, I reckon we’ll win it and make history.

MICHAEL GANNON: I’m a Jittery Gannon. I hope for the best while fearing the worst. Clarkey’s men will need to play out of their skin again as Hungary are decent. I don’t think Scotland will lose - but please God not another glorious failure.

With Kieran Tierney out injured, how do you think Steve Clarke will line his team up in Stuttgart and will he tinker with the shape?

KEITH: He’ll most probably send out the same again, with Scott McKenna replacing the Arsenal man. But there has to be at least some thought given to deploying James Forrest at right wing back for a game we have to win.

SCOTT: I don’t expect him to tinker with the formation before the game - but he might during it depending on the result. His team were a lot better against the Swiss and he’ll be looking for them to go up another notch on Sunday. Scott McKenna should come in for Tierney and the only other change might be James Forrest for Tony Ralston at wing-back.

MICHAEL: Doubt it. Clarke had a look at a back four in some of the friendlies and it didn’t look convincing. He has a way to play that has worked for us. He can draft in Scott McKenna and it won’t change too much with the shape.

We’ve had a chance to see how all the trophy contenders are shaping up in their first couple of games. Are you sticking with your pre-tournament prediction?

KEITH: Picked France but now fancy the Germans. Either one will do so long as England don’t bore their way to the trophy.

SCOTT: I said it would be a France v Germany final at the start and I’ve seen nothing to dissuade me from that prediction.

The hosts, in particular, look really dangerous especially with Jamal Musiala in the form he’s in. The bookies better have my cash ready to pay out!

MICHAEL: France are still the side to beat despite a low-key opening. This young Spain side look a real threat though, along with Germany. Watch out for Portugal too as they have plenty of firepower.

Rangers face having to shift their August fixtures away from Ibrox after a construction cock-up - what does it mean for the Light Blues’ Champions League prospects?

KEITH: It’s another self-inflicted wound and it gives Philippe Clement and his players an excuse to fail before a ball has been kicked. No wonder the slippery James Bisgrove couldn’t wait to get out of town.

SCOTT: It’s hugely damaging and a major blow to Philippe Clement ahead of the new season. This shambolic episode could cost them early in the title race, as well as the Champions League qualifiers which are potentially worth £60million. Heads should roll at Ibrox.

MICHAEL: It’s a bit of a nightmare. These games are hard enough without removing the usual Ibrox atmosphere. It’s a pain for fans as well and the hassle in general will make it tougher on all fronts for Rangers.
