A teenage serial sex offender, dubbed “Brixton R Kelly”, who raped six teenage girls after grooming them on Snapchat has been jailed for 12 years.

Kevarnie Queen, 19, attacked the girls, some as young as 15, over three years leaving some of them suicidal.

Some of his victims were deeply religious but Queen, from south London, manipulated them into giving into his demands.

He became known on social media as “Brixton R Kelly” in reference to the US music star jailed for child sex offences.

Three of the teenagers contracted sexually transmitted diseases after he repeatedly raped them.

Queen, who is believed to be one of Britain’s youngest serial sex offenders, was convicted of 22 rapes following a trial at Inner London Crown Court.

Victim impact statements read in court described how Queen’s actions had left the young women broken and struggling to cope.

‘The pain will not be forgotten’

The court heard Queen had groomed all but one of his victims on social media, and would manipulate them and sometimes body shame them.

His first victim, who was raped by Queen when they were both 15, told the court she had isolated herself after the abuse and still struggled to leave her home years later.

Another victim told the court she had attempted suicide on three separate occasions and had turned to drugs to “numb the pain”.

Directly addressing Queen, she said: “The pain you have caused in my life will never be forgotten.

“I suffer from PTSD. Every time I see a girl child I pray they will avoid meeting a demon like you. To hear you have other victims after me proves that you are heartless.

“When I look at myself in the mirror I see a damaged soul. I trusted him and he betrayed me.”

Another of the victims, who was in an abusive relationship with Queen for two years, told the court: “The only way I can describe him for what he did to me is evil,” she said.

“We were in a relationship for two years. I am confident in saying he is not sorry for what he has done. He is only sorry he got caught. He didn’t treat me like a human.”

‘Years of suffering’

The mother of one of his other victims said Queen’s actions had caused “years and years of suffering” and told the court her daughter received death threats on Snapchat when she reported him to the police.

During his trial, Queen claimed he had cheated on all his victims and that, as a result, they had conspired together to teach him a lesson.

But a jury convicted him of the 22 rape offences.

Judge Usha Karu explained how Queen manipulated his victims into believing they were in a relationship with him in which non-consensual sex was normal.

“You raped five 15-year-old girls, and all but one of them were raped more than once. It mattered not to you whether any of them consented or not,” the judge said.

Queen was sentenced to 12 years in a young offenders’ institute with an extended licence period of four years, but the judge said if he had been older at the time of the offences his sentence would have been doubled.

She said: “The crimes you committed were profoundly serious. [One of your victims’] first experience of sex was being brutally raped by you.

“You told [another victim] that if both of you wanted to be happy together, she needed to forget about [being raped by you] and move on.

“She couldn’t count how many times you had sex with her against her will.”

Wearing blue surgical gloves and a red necklace with a large cross over a green Nike top, Queen was seen to shed a tear as he was taken from the dock.
