Yahoo News Rapper and actor Don Omar reveals that he has cancer
The Latin Grammy winner wrote in Spanish, "#f---cancer."
Don Omar has been diagnosed with cancer.
The rapper and actor, whose real name is William Omar Landrón Rivera, posted an image of himself wearing a hospital bracelet Monday. The caption, which was written in Spanish, translates to say, "Today yes, but tomorrow I won’t have cancer. Good intentions are well received. See you soon. #f---cancer."

The Puerto Rican-born star, 46, is on a break from his Back to Reggaeton tour, which will pick up again in August, with a stop in Oakland, Calif. It's scheduled to continue throughout the U.S. and Canada, with dates in cities such as Boston, Denver, and Toronto through Sept. 15.
In his career of more than two decades, Omar has dropped eight albums. He's been nominated for 13 Latin Grammy Awards, and he's won two.
Omar portrayed Rico Santos in several of the Fast and the Furious movies: 2009's Fast & Furious, Fast Five (2011), The Fate of the Furious (2017), and in F9 (2021).

Don Omar performs on April 18 in Duluth, Ga.Omar did not elaborate in his post, and a rep for the star did not immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly's request for further comment.
PEOPLE noted that Omar broke the health news two days after he posted an Instagram Reel of dancers auditioning to join his tour. "The most special thing about today's auditions is seeing that there are people who want to dare to dream with me," he wrote Saturday. "Thank you to each of you who gave your all on the dance floor! This second stage of the tour comes with everything."
Notably, the artist appeared to end his years-long feud with fellow musician Daddy Yankee in December, after the latter announced his retirement.
