THE trial of a British rap artist who has been accused of raping a woman in Oxford has been delayed.

Tyron Frampton, 28, who is better known by his stage name Slowthai, faces two counts of raping a woman in Oxford on September 8, 2021.

Hours previously, on the night of September 7, he performed at a reportedly sold-out concert at East Oxford venue The Bullingdon.

The artist was due to stand trial with his co-defendant, Alex Walker, today (Monday, July 1) at Oxford Crown Court but the proceedings have been delayed.

It comes as the rapper's partner Anne-Marie performed at Glastonbury Festival on Friday night.

Judge Ian Pringle said: “It was impossible to accommodate the trial for this date.”

A new date has been scheduled for November 25 and is estimated to take two to three weeks.
