The discovery of newborn earless rabbits in China has attracted much attention from local villagers.

The bunnies were found at a villager's home in Chengkou County of Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.

The owner said that the mother rabbit had had many normal births in the past and it was only this time the new-born were different.

"Maybe it is because of genetic variation," said one resident.
