While rumors about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s relationship have continued to circulate on social media, a source close to Lopez set the record straight about one item making news: the couple quietly selling their $61 million Beverly Hills house. The vast property has 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a 12-car garage, and a sports complex, among other things, per The Wall Street Journal.

The couple’s decision to sell the property is not a telltale sign that Bennifer’s relationship status is changing. The place, which the couple moved into exactly a year ago, just isn’t the right long-term fit for either of them, the source explained.

“Ben never liked the house. It’s too far away from his kids,” the insider told People. J.Lo, meanwhile, thinks “the house is way too big for her.”

On Monday, a source close to Lopez told People that despite “strain” in their marriage, the couple is “still friendly and see each other every few days.”

Neither Lopez nor Affleck have commented on the rumors. Lopez did release a statement after she canceled her This Is Me...Now Tour last month to take time off to spend time with her children, family, and close friends.

She said, “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
