Reba McEntire Reveals She Had a 'Sneaky Suspicion' Asher HaVon Would Win “The Voice ”During His Blinds (Exclusive)
On Tuesday night, HaVon was named the season 25 winner of the singing competition show
When Asher HaVon first went through his blind auditions, Reba McEntire's instincts told her he may be the winner — and she was right.
On Tuesday, May 21, HaVon was crowned the season 25 winner of The Voice. Speaking to PEOPLE after the show, HaVon and McEntire reflected on their whirlwind win.
"I'm thrilled to pieces, very grateful. When he picked me after I turned on the blind auditions, I had a sneaking suspicion he was going to be the winning contestant," McEntire, 69, says.
She adds, "I said, 'You got the winner.'"
For HaVon — who previously called McEntire "mother" — earning the winning title is like a dream.

"I feel like I'm dreaming, and I'm waiting for my alarm clock to wake up, but there's no alarm clock, and I'm not dreaming. I'm so excited," HaVon says.
Reflecting on the calm before the storm as the competition was down to himself and fellow Team Reba contestant Josh Sanders, HaVon says he had an array of feelings.
"I was so scared. I was terrified but I was so excited. Either way, Josh has become my brother in this show, and we're almost like the same singer — except he's the country version of me." he says. "I mean, same power, same stage presence. So, it's like the same person. I felt the love in brotherhood standing there."
For McEntire, watching her two contestants compete for the winning title filled her with joy.
"I feel like a proud mama. A very proud mama. Mama was always very nervous in the audience when I would be singing. And that's what I felt like when you guys would be singing," she says, as HaVon points out McEntire would always give them a thumbs up when they were on the stage.
