Rebecca Ferguson Says Her Daughter, 5, Mistook Costar Timothée Chalamet for Her Dad: 'She Doesn't Get It'
Ferguson and Chalamet costar in the 'Dune' franchise together, which confused the actress' 5-year-old daughter
Rebecca Ferguson's daughter got a little confused while shopping for a Valentine's Day card.
In an interview with U105 Radio in Ireland shared to X, the Dune 2 actress, 40, recounted a hilarious story about her 5-year-old daughter, whom she shares with husband Rory St. Clair Gainer.
"So it's Valentine's Day, right? I don't even know if you can show this or whatever," the actress begins. "And my daughter is in a shop with my husband. I was told this today."
"She goes up to a card and she goes, 'This is perfect for mummy.' It's a picture of Timothée [Chalamet], who she thought was her dad because it looks like my husband. And it says, 'Will you Wonka my Willy?'"
"But she doesn't get it. She's like, 'Oh it's Willy Wonka! Willy Wonka, my Willy dad! Like, no," Ferguson laughs.

In addition to her daughter, Ferguson is mom to son Isaac, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Ludwig Hallberg.
While the star is largely private about her personal life, in October 2017 she spoke with the Belfast Telegraph about being a mom in Hollywood.
“[My son] comes to the set, I go off and leave him with the stunt guys and I come in and he’s hanging off a harness somewhere. He loves it, but I don’t think he would like to act,” said Ferguson.
The mom of two also shared a relatable parenting concern.
“I do worry that I’m going to mess it up for my son, we usually do, don’t we? We always make mistakes. I think we look at our backgrounds and I think, what didn’t I like about myself and what can I change?” the actress said.
In July 2018, a rep for the star confirmed to PEOPLE that she'd welcomed a second baby. Ferguson was spotted with her newborn daughter in Paris ahead of the premiere of Mission: Impossible — Fallout.
That February, the actress was photographed at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs), showing off her baby bump in a form-fitting black gown. Placing a hand under her bump, Ferguson posed for the cameras.
