Rebecca Loos' seven-word reply after she 'found David Beckham in bed with model'

Rebecca Loos famously alleged an affair with David Beckham in 2004 - a claim which the footballer has strongly denied.

Her public claims led Beckham's wife Victoria to describe it as the 'hardest period' for both of them. In Tom Bower's latest book, The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power, it is claimed Rebevva decided to come clean about her alleged affair with the former England captain after being disgusted by his behaviour towards a waitress.

She also alleged she walked in on him in bed with Spanish model Esther Canadas while he was at a party at his Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo's villa.

The incident allegedly happened when an upset Posh Spice called Rebecca in order to find her husband.

Rebecca allegedly discovered him in a bedroom with the model at 3am and informed him that she 'had his wife on the phone'. He rose to answer the call and she claimed she saw the model in the bed, which left her feeling 'very hurt'.

Rebecca confided in a friend at the time: "I thought I was the only one.", reports the Mirror.

In the days following Rebecca's story making global headlines, Beckham's PR team swiftly orchestrated a display of unity at the snowy Courchevel ski resort to protect Brand Beckham's image. "In a bravura performance, the couple clung to each other with an iron grip on his hand. Then they performed a piggy-back and smiled," Bower notes in his book.

However, behind closed doors, the scene was far from idyllic. "Once the show was over they disappeared into their chalet....as everyone drifted off, one journalist looked through the Beckhams' chalet window. Posh was slapping Beckham hard on his face. Beckham, famous for his 'short fuse', did not retaliate."

Victoria's move to Spain proved to be a struggle, with her life there marked by discontent. "Her life in Madrid was lonely and unhappy. Although she had everything money could buy she was isolated. With few friends, she was unwilling to learn Spanish. Her diet, rigorous exercise and chain-smoking reflected her anxieties."

In more recent times, Rebecca has retreated from public attention and seldom appears in the media. Now a married mother-of-two, Rebecca resides in Norway where she is employed as a yoga instructor and massage therapist.

In the Netflix docuseries Beckham, David and Victoria opened up about how the scandal impacted their relationship.

Victoria confessed that this period was 'one hundred percent' the toughest time in their marriage, revealing in the documentary: "It was the hardest period for us. Because it felt like the world was against us.

And here's the thing; we were against each other, if I'm being completely honest.
