Recently closed pub in Cambridgeshire village looking for new tenants

A Cambridgeshire village pub that recently shut its doors to customers has been listed as looking for new tenants. The Lion and Lamb, in Milton, confirmed its closure on Sunday (June 9).

The venue was one of a handful of its kind in the area and its building reportedly dates back to the 17th century. It was beloved among locals for its spacious beer garden, menu filled with home-cooked pub classics, and children's play area.

The pub is now being listed by company Stonegate Group, who describe it as "beautiful" and "full of character". Suitable applicants are described as those with experience who will bring passion and enthusiasm to the business.

A statement from the listing said: "The Lion and Lamb is a beautiful village pub, full of character, just a stone’s throw from Cambridge Science Park and the city of Cambridge beyond. The pub comprises of two rooms, suitable for both drinking and dining with a traditional, cosy interior.

"The pub has brilliant outside space including a large patio and beer garden with a children's play area, great for families. Milton's pubs see trade not just from the village but from the wider area of villages and city of Cambridge itself, resulting in a heavy footfall from various demographics."
