The Recruit Season 2: Noah Centineo’s Netflix Thriller Sets January Return — First Look
We hope Owen Hendricks enjoys the holidays, because his new mission begins next month — and it’s going to be a doozy.
Netflix has set a Jan. 30, 2025 release date for Season 2 of Noah Centineo’s CIA drama The Recruit, which relocates his character to South Korea for another “life-threatening” situation. But according to the streamer’s official logline, “the bigger threat just might be coming from inside the Agency.”

The second season of picks up in the immediate aftermath of Max’s finale-ending death, and “Owen’s headspace is complete chaos,” Centineo says. He has just witnessed Max — the former CIA asset whom he almost died multiple times trying to protect — get shot by her daughter Nichka. Owen is wondering how in the hell he is going to survive the next few seconds of his life.”
“Owen rolls into this season basically screwed,” adds series creator Alexi Hawley. “Owen knows that if he does not walk away with a win this season, his career is going to be over. He might go to prison. Depending on what people are into, they can show up this season for the big, flashy, splashy action stuff, but they can also be on a journey with this guy who’s just trying to fix something that he broke.”
Along with Centineo, the show’s second season stars Teo Yoo, Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, Fivel Stewart, Kristian Bruun, Kaylah Zander, Maddie Hasson, Angel Parker and Vondie Curtis-Hall.
