Red Alert as Parts of Northeastern France Hit by Severe Flooding

France’s meteorological service said a red alert was in place for the Moselle valley on May 18 as the region continued to be hit by severe flooding.

Footage from Rachida Gacem showed streets inundated with water in Bouzonville, near the border with Germany, on May 17.
