Redcar general election results 2024 in full
Voters in the Redcar constituency have been going to the polls in the general election 2024 to choose their new MP.
The constituency was created in 1974 and was held by the Labour Party from then until 2019, with the exception of a period between 2010 and 2015 when it was held by the Liberal Democrats. In the 2019 General Election, Redcar was the largest Labour majority overturned by the Conservatives.
Conservative Jacob Young held the seat since 2019 with a 3,527 majority. Mr Young was joined by his predecessor in the race for the seat, Anna Turley.

Polls closed in the general election 2024 at 10pm on Thursday, July 4, with counts taking place overnight. Results from across the UK are expected in the early hours of Friday morning, with Redcar expected to declare around 2.00am.
