Regina King is looking fantastic for Paris Fashion Week!

The Academy Award winner, 52, brought a little bit of edge to the Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2024 show on Thursday, wearing a cropped black tweed coat with white embroidery and crystal embellishments on top of a black high-neck mesh top and a cream high-waisted skirt with pleated detailing.

She styled the ensemble with a double-row beaded necklace, a black and white striped clutch, pointed cream leather mules, and topped it all off with minimalistic gold rings and earrings.

King’s recent outing follows her rare public appearances since the tragic death of her son, Ian Alexander Jr., in January 2022. The actress has slowly returned to the public eye since her son’s death. After the Schiaparelli show, fans expressed how delighted they were to see her once again.

In a recent Instagram post from WWD, the Watchmen actress was interviewed about attending Paris Fashion Week and spending time in the French capital. King shared she arrived in Paris the day before the Schiaparelli show, and confessed how excited she was to attend.

Following King’s sporadic public appearances, many fans wrote in the comments of the post celebrating the actress’ Paris arrival.

Instagram user @kwh1t3 commented, “Good to see her out & about 🥹🫶🏽.” While fan @theashafundi wrote, “She looks stunning! So happy to see her ❤️.”

As fans and followers filled the comment section to share their excitement and warm wishes to the actress, one noted how she’s been waiting to see King. “!!! I’ve been looking to see her out and about. Good looking at you kid! ♥️✨🎈,” wrote @sowkimrising.

King made her first public appearance following the death of her son in June 2022 at an awards ceremony during the Filming Italy Festival in Santa Margherita di Pula, Italy.

King shared her only child, Ian Alexander Jr., with her ex-husband Ian Alexander Sr, with whom she separated in 2007.

"Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian," King said in a January 2022 statement to PEOPLE. "He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you."

King spoke of her relationship with her son on many occasions. "You don't know what unconditional love is. You may say you do, but if you don't have a child, you don't know what that is," King said. "When you experience it, it's the most fulfilling [thing] ever."

The mother and son had a close relationship and on King’s 50th birthday in 2021, Ian paid tribute to his mother on Instagram. "Happy birthday to my co, so extremely proud of you and inspired by your love, artistry, and gangsta! To be able to watch you take this lifetime by its neck and make it yours is something i will forever be grateful for," he wrote.

He continued, "But to have you as my mother is the greatest gift I could ask for. To be all that you are while always having the time to be there, love and support me unconditionally is truly remarkable. The whole marvel universe ain't got s--- on you, your the real superhero! Love you mom! This day and everyday YO DAY!!"
