From 2013 to 2016, Swift's famous inner circle quickly became known as her "squad," with notable members including models such as Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Martha Hunt, Jaime King, and fellow musicians such as Selena Gomez, the Haim sisters and Lorde.

Additionally, Swift brought many of her celebrity friends together for her star-studded "Bad Blood" music video, including Hailee Steinfeld, Lena Dunham, Lily Aldridge and Serayah.

Like many aspects of Swift's life, the "squad" has been the subject of many headlines through the years as people scrutinized her inner circle. Swift even addressed the criticism in her "Look What You Made Me Do" music video.

Recently, in her 1989 (Taylor's Version) prologue letter, Swift thanked her loyal fans for understanding her motives at the time. "You, who knew that maybe a girl who surrounds herself with female friends in adulthood is making up for a lack of them in childhood (not starting a tyrannical hot girl cult)," she joked of her tight friend group at that time.

In one of 2015's biggest pop culture moments, Swift united her "squad" in an explosive, action-packed music video for "Bad Blood" featuring Kendrick Lamar. The A-list cast included Ellen Pompeo, Mariska Hargitay, Cindy Crawford, Hayley Williams, Zendaya, Ellie Goulding and more.

Never Go Out of Style

Swift returned to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for a second year to perform two hits off 1989, "Blank Space" and "Style." In lacy outfits of her own, the pop star walked alongside her Angel friends, including Karlie Kloss and Martha Hunt.
