Cat Carried Over Raging River Amid Deadly Pakistan Floods

A rescuer was winched across a raging river to save a cat from flooding in Pakistan, footage posted on August 30 shows.

Video from the emergency services shows the cat clinging to the rescuer as they make their way across the river to safety.

The United Nations has described the flooding in Pakistan as a “climate catastrophe.” Some 1,162 people have died, according to the government. Credit: Rescue 1122 via Storyful
