Rescuers Carry Baby to Safety as Deadly Flooding Hits Southern China

Firefighters in southern China were seen carrying numerous people to safety, including a baby, as deadly flooding hit the province of Guangdong, killing at least four people.

Video released on April 22 shows a firefighter cradling the baby in his arms as rescuers aided residents to safety.

Other footage showed a woman being carried through floodwater on a firefighter’s back, and teams using boats to transport people.

The rescue efforts were continuing after parts of southern China were hit by massive flooding that killed at least four people, following heavy rainfall.
