In the Season 2 finale (which aired Sept. 28, 2022), Harry and Joseph came face-to-face in an ominous meeting that foreshadowed their futures, as Harry used the Greys’ pod to send his alien baby Bridget back home. Plus, after discovering that McCallister was planet Earth’s only hope, Harry turned himself in so the two of them could get better acquainted. The Hawthornes also experienced their own set of horrific and downright shocking extraterrestrial encounters. (Refresh your memory with our finale Q&A with creator Chris Sheridan.)

Harry will continue his quest to save planet Earth on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 10/9c on Syfy, TVLine has learned. While the season was originally set to be comprised of 12 episodes, it had its order cut to eight installments back in November of 2022.

In Season 3, “Harry is vowing to work with General McCallister (Hamilton) to rid the Earth of the Grey aliens — a task made more difficult when he discovers that the Grey Hybrid Joseph (Enver Gjokaj) has taken a job in town as the new Deputy,” reads the official description. “Joseph isn’t Harry’s only obstacle. Harry struggles to balance business and his personal life when he falls in love for the first time.  Meanwhile, Asta (Sara Tomko) and D’Arcy (Alice Wetterlund) move in together and struggle to discover their purpose in the world, Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) continue their quest to find out who killed the Alien Tracker, and Ben (Levi Fiehler) and Kate (Meredith Garretson) are forced to deal with the subconscious repercussions of their alien abductions.”

Syfy has also dropped the very first Season 3 trailer (press PLAY on the photo above), which highlights the impending threat to Patience, Colo. by the George Takei-voiced leader of the Greys.

The clip teases Harry’s long-awaited partnership with McCallister (though according to her, Harry is definitely going to have to take the H.R. seminar). And while D’Arcy may be in on Harry and Asta’s secret now, Sheriff Mike and Deputy Liv struggle to catch up with what’s happening around them.
