Residents have slammed the 'disgusting' state of the bins at Canley Crematorium in Coventry. Waste can be seen piled high on top of the bins as well as spilling out onto the ground.

Waste, including bags and decaying flowers, can be seen piled high in the Coventry City Council-maintained bins at Canley Crematorium on Cannon Hill Road. Visitors are continuing to add to the huge mound, with people being urged to instead 'take their waste home with them.'

Collections have moved to a new provider in recent weeks, Coventry City Council said. As part of this move, there are said to have been some 'teething problems.'

Locals have shared their frustration at the overflowing bins at Canley Crematorium. One described the mess as a 'disgrace.'

Resident Sandra Selby said: “It is a disgusting mess, and Coventry City Council, or whomever the responsibility is to empty them should do what they are paid to do.

Ms Selby added: “Equally, people are making more mess by leaving the waste by the side of the bins instead of taking it home with them.”
