Residents on High Alert as Flash Flood Warning Issued for New Orleans

Residents in New Orleans, Louisiana, were on high alert as a flash flood warning was issued on Monday, March 4.

The National Weather Service (NWS) New Orleans said the flash flood warning was for the NOLA metro.

Storms were moving across the area and would be capable of producing heavy rain, gusty winds and hail, the NWS said.

Video from Leslie Sage shows street flooding in what she described as the New Orleans central business district.

“Made it dry land let’s see if I make it home! Be safe out there y’all,” she captioned the video.
