According to a release, Dr. Rick Rogers, a physician for CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, began his career in 1984 in Tyler.

“I am from Dallas and I love Dallas, but I got sick of the traffic,” Rogers said. “My wife and I were looking to get out of the city. We came to Tyler and absolutely fell in love with it.”

Since 1995, Rogers has been working at the Turtle Creek clinic location and said it was an honor to see the children and grandchildren of former patients and build relationships with families.

“I always wanted to retire when people would be upset, and not when they would say, ‘it is about time,’” Rogers said. “I think I am picking a good time.”
