“RHOBH” Star Dorit Kemlsey's Husband PK Says His Sobriety Is the 'Greatest Gift' on Father's Day amid Separation

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Paul “PK” Kemsley shared that not only is he sober, but that he has hit a major milestone in his sobriety journey — six months without alcohol — in an emotional Instagram post on Sunday.

“On Father’s Day the greatest gift I can give my 5 kids is to remain sober,” Kemlsey, 56, wrote alongside a “Twelve Steps” graphic that broke down just how long he’d been sober: half a year, 6.06 months, 186 days — and 4,453 hours.

“Grateful and proud to say this weekend I am 6 months … Happy Fathers Day to all you great dads out there doing your best.”

The post comes amid his separation from his wife of 9 years, Dorit Kemsley, 47, which they announced last month.

The pair addressed PK’s drinking on this past season of RHOBH, with Dorit sharing, "PK was drinking a lot and he's a drinker. I just think that it's very difficult to have clear-headed conversations when he's drinking so much, so he gave up drinking."

In the season finale, Dorit wondered whether PK could change, and if he couldn’t, what that would mean for the future of their relationship. She candidly admitted that her “main takeaway” from the past year “is PK and I have a lot of work to do.”

“No matter how hard I try, it feels like he's never gonna take me seriously and be as present as I need him to be when I need him,” the Bravo star said, later adding, "Maybe he'll never change but, do I have to accept that he won't? Can I? I don't know."

Dorit and PK tied the knot in March 2015 and share two children together: daughter Phoenix, 7, and son Jagger, 9. PK has three children from his first marriage who have not appeared on the hit Bravo reality show, but were referenced in his post.

The news of their separation came after they denied rumors they were spending time apart in a statement shared with PEOPLE in October 2023.

"We remain committed to working through these issues as a united couple for our family," the Kemsleys said at the time. "We have not separated nor are we planning to do so. Rather, we are focused on healing, making changes and doing the things that many couples have to do at some point in their marriage."

During the RHOBH reunion episode in March, Dorit addressed rumors of marital troubles.

"After we wrapped [filming], things got progressively worse," she said at the time. "And him and I were at probably an all-time bad."

And as she commented on Instagram when they announced their separation, "S— happens," Dorit bluntly wrote.

"It’s called life."
