The ex-husband of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Dina Manzo has been freed on bail as he awaits trial for allegedly hiring a mobster to beat up her now-spouse, according to federal court documents.

Tommy Manzo, a New Jersey restaurateur, recently posted a $100,000 bond ahead of his May racketeering trial over the charges, court papers show.

He surrendered his passport and can’t travel outside New Jersey and New York until his case is decided as part of the bail deal, Newark federal Judge Susan Wigenton ruled March 26.

Manzo’s trial is set to begin May 20, the jurist said.

Federal authorities say Manzo recruited a member of the Lucchese crime family to rough up David Cantin, Dina Manzo’s then-beau and now-husband, back in 2015.

In return, Manzo promised the alleged mob capo, John Perna, a deeply discounted wedding at his catering hall, The Brownstone, in Paterson, NJ, the feds say.

Perna and an associate caught up with Cantin in July 2015 and worked him over with a slapjack in the parking lot of a North Jersey strip mall. The savage attack left Cantin battered and scarred, court papers said.

Five years later, the pair were arrested and indicted for the crimes.

Perna of Cedar Grove, NJ, pleaded guilty to committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity and was sentenced to nearly three years in prison. It does not appear his associate ever went to trial.

Perna was released in August, according to jail records.

Manzo’s case has taken a much rockier road, enduring fits of stops and starts that eventually led Wigenton to dismiss it without prejudice earlier this year because it violated his rights to a speedy trial.

Then last month, the feds re-indicted Manzo on the same charges — which include one count each of violent crime in aid of racketeering activity, conspiracy to commit an assault with a dangerous weapon and falsifying and concealing records related to a federal investigation.

He also still has pending state charges in Monmouth County, NJ, that allege he and another man broke into Dave and Dina’s home in Holmdel, NJ, and beat the husband with a bat and physically assaulted her before robbing them in May 2017.

The next hearing in that case is scheduled for April 29, state prosecutors told The Post.

Manzo married Dina in 2005, but the couple split in 2012 over his alleged infidelity.

They didn’t officially divorce until 2016.
