Richard Gere Poses with His Sons in Rare Photos Shared by Wife Alejandra: 'Always There for Us'

Gere's wife Alejandra Silva shared the snaps of Gere and his sons on Father's Day

Richard Gere is being celebrated on Father's Day.

On Sunday, June 16, the actor’s wife Alejandra Silva posted a heartfelt message to the actor, 74, alongside a rare picture of their sons Alexander, 5, a younger son, 3, whose name they've not shared publicly, and Albert, 9, Silva's child from a previous relationship.

The Pretty Woman star is ultra-private when it comes to his family and Silva, 41, kept the faces of the children blurred in the shared photos.

“Happy Father’s Day, to the most wonderful dad four boys could ever wish for,” Silva's caption read alongside a carousel of family snaps. Gere also shares son Homer James, 24, with ex-wife Carey Lowell and is a stepfather to her daughter, Hannah.

“Your endless patience, love, and dedication are truly remarkable," added Silva.

In the first photo, Gere carried one of his sons over his shoulders as his wife and the two other boys stood beside him in the sea.

The Runaway Bride star also stood next to his wife and Albert as the young boy held up a school certificate in a second image.

In the following slide, the proud father beamed a smile as he hugged one of his children in a picture that featured a milkshake on the table.

“Happy Father’s Day to the man who is always there for us, making every moment special,” Silva continued in her caption. “Love, Mom, James, Alexander ,Albert Homer♥️♥️ #happyfathersday.”

The activist then shared another photo on her Instagram Stories of the family at the beach with a sticker that read “Happy Father’s Day.”

Gere’s Father’s Day appreciation comes after he attended the afterparty of his film Oh, Canada at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival with his wife and son Homer in May.

Looking smart as they posed for snaps at the Lucia Cannes restaurant, Gere and Homer sported matching tuxedo suits, while Silva wore a black floral-embroidered gown.

"Proud of him ♥️ #ohcanada #cannesfilmfestival #richardgere,” Silva wrote as she shared a photo of Gere and herself on the red carpet.

Back in April, Gere opened up about moving his family to Silva's native Spain.

"The truth is we don't go out much. We have three small children. An 11-year-old, a 5-year-old, and a 4-year-old," he told Vanity Fair Spain . "So around 9:30 at night, we are all asleep. If we watch something, it will be on the big television we have at home."
