Richard Lewis dead at 76
The beloved comic died at his home in Los Angeles on Feb. 27, Deadline reports. He suffered a heart attack. In April 2023, Lewis revealed that he'd been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Lewis gained notoriety as a comic in the 1970s, appearing on shows such as 'The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson'. He made his acting debut in 1979, appearing in 'Diary of a Young Comic,' which aired on NBC. He secured his first Showtime special, 'I'm In Pain,' in 1985. He went on to have three HBO comedy specials between 1988 and 1997.
